With every level your leotard color changes!
Reference the guide at the bottom for the correct colored leotard per grade. Contact the studio if you have any questions.
Pre-dance and Primary Ballet
Leotard or dance dress: Light pink
Tights: Ballet pink, skin-toned, or no tights. If choosing to not wear tights please have white ballet socks
Hair: pulled away from the face in a ponytail, braid, or bun
Shoes: Pink ballet shoes if possible buy ones with no ties
All Ballet Levels
Leotard: leotard colored according to grade level: please see the chart below or ask your teacher
Tights: Ballet pink, skin-toned, or no tights. If choosing to not wear tights please have white ballet socks
Hair: in a neat ballet bun
Shoes: pink or skin-toned, stretch canvas ballet shoes
Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater
Leotard: leotard colored according to grade level: please see the chart below or ask your teacher. No t-shirts over leotards
Bottoms: Dance shorts or black leggings. Tights are optional, if worn they must be skin-toned or black
Hair: Neat ponytail, braid, or bun
Shoes for Jazz: Canvas or leather skin-toned slip-on jazz shoes. (No lace-up shoes)
Shoes for Tap: Black lace-up tap shoes. If in pre-dance, Mary-Jane style buckle shoes for girls, and lace up for boys.
Shoes for lyrical and contemporary: Dancers may be barefoot. Or wear dance socks, pirouette classics, ballet shoes, or jazz shoes
Acrobatics
Any solid colored leotard. Black shorts or leggings are optional. No loose clothing, this is a safety hazard in acrobatics. Acrobatic shoes or barefoot is best. Hair in a low ponytail, braid or bun.
Boys
Dance t-shirt or leotard, in the color matching their grade level or white. Black or navy blue shorts, dance pants, or tights. Black dance shoes in the style of class taken. White socks may be worn under ballet shoes, jazz shoes, or tap shoes.
