Ms. Nicole

Meet your teacher and artistic director Ms. Nicole.

Nicole has taught from New York to California! Now she is here in Maryland to teach students how to achieve their dance goals in a healthy way. She has studied anatomy, a multitude of dance techniques, and has worked with all ages of students. By changing the perspective on what dance training looks like, she aims to empower all dancers from beginners to those on a professional track, fostering an individual education for each student.

Nicole has been dancing since the age of 2! She fell in love with movement, then ballet, and soon all styles of dance. Her passion is to bring safe dance training to her pupils.

Nicole's dance journey began in New York. Here she took as many classes in as many styles as possible: jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics, progressing ballet technique, partnering, pointe, and always had an emphasis on ballet. By performing in recitals, competitions, productions, solos, duets, and more, attending every master class, convention, audition or performance possible, Nicole gained a well rounded dance training. Soon she went on to teach. She created an after school dance program in Schenectady NY, and taught at local studios. Then she moved to the Bay Area in California and first taught at the Fantasy Dance School, followed by the Menlo Park Academy of Dance; a studio known for producing pristine dancers. Nicole has trained dancers who have gone on to be employed by The San Francisco Ballet, Oakland Ballet Company, Boston Ballet, and other professional companies. Her students have done very well at competitions such as Youth America Grand Prix, and they have been accepted into some of the top performing arts schools including The Juilliard School and Pace University.

Nicole is a certified teacher through the University of Nevada's Dance Teacher Training program. She is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique teacher in levels one and two and is currently being certified in more levels of Cecchetti while holding the CCA Teachers’ Grade I - IV Certificates.

It is important to always further your education. As a teacher, Nicole is always reading new books on dance education, anatomy, and more. Then analyzing and discussing these texts with the dance community. She continues to attend conferences, seminars, trainings, and more, learning never ends!
